On our flight from Harrisburg to Atlanta tonight I was corrected by my son. It’s not the first time he’s corrected me but probably the funniest. Lucky for him he was in the right as well!
He looked out the window of our CRJ100 (a tiny plane) as we were on approach and final descent to Atlanta. He said: “Look Daddy! We’ll land on the water.”
I panicked a bit thinking we were really landing on a lake or something. “Son,” I said, “we’re not landing on water.”
We went back and forth about three times. Then he said “Wait a minute…” with exasperation. He pulled out the safety card that he had obviously read diligently and pointed to a picture inside.
The picture was of what to do in a water landing. I could not stop laughing.

The things kids have to do to convince the old fogeys! He is so cute!
